I love blue and maroon together. In fact, I was a big fan of this whole outfit until I got out of my car and started walking to school. Then I discovered that my tights and my skirt had fallen in love on the ride over and they kept hugging. The skirt would bunch and ride up between my thighs with every step. It needs a slip. I put in a temporary fix by adding three long strips of duct tape in the front. Actually I wouldn't mind making it a permanent fix. Does duct tape stay on in the wash?

I totally have the same problem with my skirt going in-between my legs as I walk so it looks like I'm wearing some weird culotte pants.

ReplyDeleteOh! You reminded me, the floor leading to my balcony *is* very visibly slanted. If you put a bookshelf up against that wall, it visibly tilts about 10 degrees...

ReplyDeleteIf you don't have slip, wear another skirt underneat- I think Duc tape will remain after a wash, cheap tape resists to a wash - I had tape on one of my skirt, temporary hem, i put it in the wash, i noticed the tape when i was about to put the skirt in the dryer -

ReplyDeleteMy best advice is to wear a slip. Duct tape gets unfortunately sticky over time/in the wash. The glue tends to bleed out and ruin things.
I think I have a slip shell from a scrap bin long ago sitting around here somewhere. Knew it would come in handy!
DeleteWonderfully lovely outfit! I'm a huge fan of blue and maroon/burgundy together, too. I have a 1940s crepe dress that I've been wearing with cranberry hued tights this fall like the colour combo was going out of style. :)
