This pink Fei skirt came from the same thrift trip that spawned Battleskirt Galactica. That was a good trip.
I wore it with my jeweled Express locket that goes with everything, a lace and stud leather Arden B. belt, Naya Lightning boots (with little grey boot socks!) and a triple lace scarf from OzzOn Japan. Over everything I wore a military-ish jacket by promod.
I grow more enamored with this circle skirt every time I style it. It's foofy (is that the technical term?) below a fitted waist with little bucklets. It's the exact length that I feel age appropriate but still young-ish and fun. Its color is very pale, and I originally thought about overdyeing, but I really like how it goes with dark browns.
Oh man, scarves that are curly and have bits of lace hanging off and are made of multiple fabrics. I don't know how to describe how much they delight me, save I never, ever thought about buying scarves as a fashion accessory until the first time I saw one.
Dangly lace scarves are almost as high on the Oh God, Aya list as homeless skirts for my long-suffering family, but they support me in my fashion choices, even if they openly dislike them. That's love.
I apologize for my unfriendly face and lion's mane. I thought I looked fine at the time. I think I'm still recouping from my semester because I slept for 12 hours that day and my hair was having none of this "theory of gravity" business. Stupid scientists think they're so smart. I hope they let me into their club.
